NEW YORK — The NBA imposed a fine of $35,000 on both Hawks forward Mouhamed Gueye and Timberwolves center Naz Reid on Wednesday due to their involvement in a jersey-grabbing altercation.
Each player received a technical foul and was ejected with 11:52 remaining in the fourth quarter on Monday after Gueye pushed Reid from behind, resulting in a foul. Reid then confronted Gueye, leading to both players grabbing each other’s jerseys and engaging in a struggle before being separated by officials, coaches, and teammates.
The Timberwolves secured a victory with a score of 138-116.
