NBA imposes $25K penalty on Magic for breaching injury disclosure regulations.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The NBA imposed a fine of $25,000 on the Orlando Magic on Thursday for breaching league regulations regarding injury reporting prior to Monday night’s home matchup against the Detroit Pistons.
The Magic listed point guard Anthony Black as out in their initial injury report. After being sidelined for 15 games due to an abdominal strain, Black made his return, contributing 14 points along with two assists and two steals in 15 minutes during Orlando’s 123-107 victory over Detroit.
In its announcement of the fine, the NBA indicated that the Magic did not accurately communicate Black’s availability for the game.
Black, a third-year player from Arkansas, is currently averaging 15.1 points and 3.8 assists across 62 games, with 40 of those being starts.
