NBA calls off Atlanta Hawks’ scheduled Magic City tribute event.

The NBA has canceled the Atlanta Hawks’ plans for an event honoring the city’s renowned Magic City strip club, citing “concerns” expressed by numerous individuals throughout the league.
Atlanta revealed the initiative last month, indicating that the team would celebrate an “iconic cultural institution” with food — featuring the club’s well-known lemon pepper wings — as well as music and exclusive merchandise.
Luke Kornet of the San Antonio Spurs voiced his objections to the concept and encouraged those involved to rethink the decision. The league seemingly received similar feedback from others.
The tribute game was set to take place on March 16 against the Orlando Magic.
