NBA 2025-26 playoff and play-in spot update: Which teams have secured their positions?

The NBA playoffs are approaching quickly!
The 2025-26 postseason is set to commence on April 14, with the three-day SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament finalizing the playoff landscape. The playoffs will officially kick off on April 18 and continue until mid-June.
As the regular season draws to a close, teams are starting to secure their postseason positions, while others are preparing for the NBA draft lottery scheduled for May 10.
The Oklahoma City Thunder became the first team to secure a postseason berth after defeating the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, March 1, improving their record to 47-15. Should the Thunder maintain their lead over the San Antonio Spurs and retain the No. 1 position, it will mark their second consecutive season finishing as the top seed in the Western Conference.
