Luka Doncic of the Lakers receives one-game suspension due to 16th technical foul.

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic has been handed a one-game suspension for accumulating his 16th technical foul during Friday’s victory over the Brooklyn Nets, as announced by the NBA on Saturday.
Doncic will fulfill the suspension during Monday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards.
During the third quarter of Friday’s contest, with 5:12 left on the clock, Doncic and Nets forward Ziaire Williams were issued double technical fouls after they engaged in a physical exchange following an offensive foul called on Doncic.
A review of the incident revealed Doncic pushing Williams, who responded by swiping at Doncic’s face. Crew chief Sean Wright assessed both players with a technical foul.
Doncic had previously received his 16th technical last weekend for a verbal exchange with Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze, but the NBA later rescinded the technicals following an appeal from the Lakers.
This suspension will result in Doncic losing 1/174th of his yearly salary, which amounts to roughly $264,000. This disciplinary action comes during a remarkable period for Doncic, who has been averaging 39.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 2.5 steals over his last 12 games.
