LaMelo Ball of the Hornets cleared to play following car accident

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball is not included on the team’s injury report and is anticipated to participate Thursday night against the Houston Rockets, just a day after being involved in a two-vehicle accident in Charlotte.
The Hornets are currently one of the NBA’s most successful teams, having secured victories in 10 of their last 11 games, with Ball playing a significant role in that achievement.
According to footage obtained by WSOC-TV in Charlotte, Ball appeared to be navigating an intersection when his custom camouflage Hummer collided with another car on Wednesday. The station later shared video of Ball, dressed in an aqua Hornets hoodie, exiting his vehicle and entering another car before being driven away. Law enforcement was present at the scene.
A police report has not yet been released.
No details have been provided regarding the individual in the other vehicle involved in the incident, although video indicated that the driver calmly exited his car and approached Ball’s truck following the collision.
Footage revealed that the left front tire of Ball’s truck was missing.
