The Los Angeles Lakers have obtained guard Luke Kennard from the Atlanta Hawks in return for guard Gabe Vincent and a second-round pick in 2032, according to sources cited by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Thursday.

Kennard is enjoying a career-high shooting percentage of 49.7% from beyond the arc this season, providing the Lakers with a reliable shooter to complement Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and LeBron James.

The Hawks acquire an experienced guard, generate an $11 million trade exception, and gain a draft asset.

Kennard, 29, has a career 3-point shooting percentage of 44.2%. He is averaging 7.9 points over 46 games this season, marking his ninth year in the NBA.

Vincent, also 29, is averaging 4.8 points this season, which is his seventh year in the league.
