Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant is currently listed as questionable for Saturday’s Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a contusion on his right knee.

An insider informed ESPN that Durant incurred the injury during practice earlier this week, but the Rockets remain hopeful that his knee will not pose a major concern throughout the series.

The fourth-seeded Lakers are entering the series with a depleted roster, as stars Luka Doncic (hamstring) and Austin Reaves (oblique) are unavailable due to injuries sustained in their April 2 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick stated on Tuesday that Doncic and Reaves are out “indefinitely,” with no updates anticipated this week.

Durant, 37, recorded averages of 26.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in his inaugural season with the Rockets. He participated in 78 games, marking his highest total in a season since 2018-19.
