The Cleveland Cavaliers have reached an agreement to trade Lonzo Ball along with two second-round draft selections to the Utah Jazz, according to sources cited by ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Ball’s representative, Rich Paul, and the Jazz are anticipated to have discussions regarding his future shortly, sources informed Charania.

Utah also finalized another trade on Wednesday, sending center Jock Landale to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for cash considerations, sources reported Charania.

The trades involving Ball and Landale occurred just one day after Utah executed a significant trade to obtain Jaren Jackson Jr. in an eight-player transaction with the Memphis Grizzlies. Landale was transferred from Memphis to Utah as part of that agreement.

Ball made a remarkable comeback from three arthroscopic knee surgeries last season, participating in his first NBA game in over 1,000 days in October 2024. Following a stretch of commendable performances, Ball received a contract extension from the Chicago Bulls and was subsequently traded to the Cavaliers during the summer in exchange for Isaac Okoro.

However, Ball, 28, has faced challenges in Cleveland, averaging a career-low 4.6 points while shooting merely 30% from the field and under 30% from beyond the arc. He is set to earn $10 million next season before entering free agency in the summer of 2027.
