Former first overall selection Markelle Fultz agrees to 10-day contract with Raptors.

Former top overall selection Markelle Fultz is set to sign a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors, as reported by Raymond Brothers of I Am Sports & Entertainment to ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday.
At 27 years old, Fultz last participated in the NBA during the previous season, playing in 21 games for the Sacramento Kings. This season, he has been with the Raptors 905 G League affiliate.
Fultz has faced numerous injuries since being selected by the 76ers in 2017, having played in fewer than 20 games during each of his initial two seasons.
He has since developed into a proficient defensive guard who can facilitate on offense. His most productive season occurred in 2022-23, where he averaged 14 points and 5.7 assists while shooting 51.4% from the field for the Orlando Magic.
The Raptors are currently engaged in a competitive battle with the Hawks, 76ers, Magic, Heat, and Hornets to avoid the Eastern Conference play-in tournament.
