ORLANDO – Luka Dončić submitted documents to the Superior Court of Los Angeles on Friday, requesting the dismissal of a petition initiated by his former fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, which sought child support and legal fees from Dončić, according to sources familiar with the situation who spoke to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Goltes is the parent of Dončić’s two daughters – 2-year-old Gabriela and 4-month-old Olivia – and resides in Slovenia with the children, having filed her petition in California earlier this month.

This development follows Dončić’s filing of an interim injunction with Slovenian courts last month, which aimed for immediate contact with Gabriela and Olivia, as well as addressing joint custody and child support, sources informed ESPN.

An inquiry from ESPN for a comment from Goltes’ attorney, Evan C. Itzkowitz, did not receive an immediate response.

Dončić, 27, continues to reside in Texas after his trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Lakers last February, sources close to Dončić’s situation told ESPN. Additionally, one of Dončić’s daughters spent only three months with him in California last spring, while his other daughter has never visited the state.

Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers are set to face the Orlando Magic on Saturday, aiming to extend their 8-game winning streak.

Throughout this streak, Dončić has averaged 40.9 points, making him the fifth player in NBA history to average over 40 points during an 8-game stretch, joining the ranks of Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Michael Jordan, and James Harden.
