Dennis Rodman set for induction into WWE Hall of Fame 1

Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is set to be honored with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Friday.

Rodman, who secured five NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls, has participated in a four-match professional wrestling career, with three of those matches taking place in WCW.

He made his WCW debut in 1997 and notably missed a practice during the 1998 NBA Finals to appear on “WCW Monday Nitro,” where he arranged a tag team match teaming up with Hulk Hogan against Diamond Dallas Page and Karl Malone.

The WWE Hall of Fame includes a celebrity wing that has welcomed other sports personalities such as Pete Rose, William Perry, Bob Uecker, Mike Tyson, and Muhammad Ali.

The Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for April 17 in Las Vegas, coinciding with WrestleMania weekend.

Rodman was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
