The LA Clippers are sending James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Darius Garland and a second-round draft pick, sources informed ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.

Harden missed Sunday’s victory in Phoenix and Monday’s home defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers due to personal matters, as stated by the team. Clippers coach Tyronn Lue mentioned prior to Monday’s matchup that Harden was at his residence in Phoenix.

The 36-year-old Harden has played a significant role in helping the Clippers regain their position in the race for a play-in spot following a challenging 6-21 start. He is currently averaging 25.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 8.1 assists this season.

Darius Garland, 26, is a two-time All-Star who is averaging 18.0 points and 6.9 assists over 26 games this season. He is currently managing a right foot injury and has not participated in a game since January 14.
