Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jayson Tatum informed ESPN on Wednesday evening that he has not yet reached a conclusion regarding his potential return from a torn Achilles tendon this season, as he “wants to ensure it is done correctly the first time, so there is a lot to contemplate.”

Tatum mentioned that he has been making good progress in his rehabilitation and is feeling increasingly stronger each week, but he is postponing his decision due to the seriousness of the injury.

Last week, Tatum completed a full workout in front of reporters in Detroit and has been ramping up his training recently, leading to speculation that he might be nearing a late-season comeback for the Celtics.

Currently, Boston is tied with the New York Knicks for the second-best record in the Eastern Conference (29-18).

Earlier on Wednesday, The Association reported that Tatum was reassessing his circumstances and contemplating the possibility of sitting out the entire season.
