Celtics’ Jaylen Brown considering transition to UFC and boxing following NBA career

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has mentioned that he has considered the possibility of engaging in combat sports after concluding his professional basketball career.
During the NBA All Star Game media day on Saturday, Brown, 29, informed reporters that he has even had discussions with UFC CEO Dana White, a dedicated Celtics supporter, regarding this topic.
“Honestly, I’ve considered this and I’ve spoken to a few individuals,” stated Brown, who possesses training in Muay Thai. “Perhaps after my career, I would be interested in participating in something like UFC or even boxing. I’ve had conversations with Dana White about various matters, but we will see how things develop. We’ll see.”
Brown is a five-time NBA All Star and the 2024 NBA Finals MVP. His head coach, Joe Mazzulla, is also recognized as a notable MMA enthusiast, having attended several UFC events and mentioned that he often shares fight footage with his team as instructional material.
