Bucks finalize agreement with ex-Nets player Cam Thomas 1

Free agent guard Cam Thomas has reached an agreement with the Milwaukee Bucks, as confirmed by his agent, Tony Ronzone of Wasserman, to ESPN on Sunday.

At 24 years old, Thomas has recorded an average of 21.4 points per game over the last three seasons, adding immediate talent to a Bucks squad that is still aiming to compete this season alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Earlier this week, Thomas was waived by Brooklyn after more than four seasons with the organization, following trade discussions that did not culminate in a deal.

“Super excited, ready to actually help and contribute to another team,” Thomas stated to ESPN Andscape’s Marc Spears after his release. “My next team is getting elite scoring, good playmaking and a good combo guard.”

This season, Thomas dealt with a left hamstring strain that sidelined him for 20 games. He is currently averaging 15.6 points in 24 games this season.

After not securing an extension with the Nets, Thomas accepted a $5.9 million qualifying offer over the summer and will become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer.
