Bucks confirm Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play against the Magic on Sunday 1

MILWAUKEE — Giannis Antetokounmpo will not participate on Sunday evening against the Orlando Magic as the Milwaukee Bucks continue to gradually reintegrate him following the right calf strain that led to him missing 15 consecutive games.

The Bucks are competing for a second night in a row, which accounts for the choice to rest Antetokounmpo. The 6-foot-11 forward recorded 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in 27 minutes on Saturday, helping the Bucks end a four-game losing streak with a win over the Utah Jazz.

Antetokounmpo has appeared in three games since his return from the calf injury that sidelined him for five weeks. He has experienced issues with a right calf strain on two different occasions this season.

This will be the 30th game that Antetokounmpo has missed this season. Previously, he had never missed more than 21 games in a single season.

Antetokounmpo, 31, is currently averaging 27.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists across 33 games.

The Bucks will also be without their second-leading scorer Kevin Porter Jr. for a third consecutive game due to swelling in his right knee.
