Alex Sarr will be sidelined for the last three matches of the Wizards due to a toe injury.

WASHINGTON — Wizards forward Alex Sarr is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a toe injury, as stated by Washington coach Brian Keefe on Thursday.
The 7-foot Sarr, selected second overall in the 2024 NBA draft, has been absent from the Wizards’ last six games due to capsulitis affecting his left big toe.
“It’s probably unlikely that he comes back with the short amount of time that we have here,” Keefe remarked prior to Thursday’s matchup against Chicago.
The Wizards, currently at the bottom of the NBA standings with a record of 17-62, have upcoming games against Miami (Friday) and Cleveland (Sunday).
Sarr has recorded an average of 16.3 points and 7.4 rebounds for Washington over 48 games while dealing with various short-term injuries.
Sarr is among 10 Wizards players listed as unavailable on the injury report ahead of the contest against the Bulls. This list also includes All-Stars Trae Young (lower back, right quad) and Anthony Davis (left finger), who were acquired by Washington in trades this winter but have collectively participated in only five games since their arrival.
