Al Horford and Seth Curry sidelined for a minimum of one week for Warriors

The Golden State Warriors announced that Seth Curry and Al Horford will be sidelined for at least a week due to injuries sustained on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
MRIs indicated that Curry is dealing with a mild left groin strain, while Horford has a mild left calf strain.
This marks another setback for Golden State regarding injuries.
Stephen Curry missed his 17th straight game on Sunday night due to pain and inflammation in his right knee as the Warriors took on the Knicks in New York to commence a six-game road trip. Curry was present with the team at Madison Square Garden.
“It just feels better when he’s around,” coach Steve Kerr stated. “He attended our meeting today and completed a workout this morning. So he’s progressing positively and is in good spirits, and having him on the trip is significant for our morale.”
Curry has not played since January 30 and is not expected to participate in the trip, with his next assessment not scheduled until next weekend, by which time the Warriors will have already played five games. Kerr mentioned that he remains limited to individual workouts.
Kerr expressed a desire for the two-time NBA MVP to be on the court. Golden State has a record of 9-18 without Curry this season, including 5-11 during the current stretch leading up to Sunday.
“He’s truly one of a kind, and this is the longest period I can recall being without him since 2020 when he essentially missed the entire season,” Kerr remarked, referring to Curry’s broken left hand early in the 2019-20 season, during which he appeared in only five games. “So yes, we miss him. We miss seeing him play.”
