76ers intend to negotiate new contract for Jabari Walker, sign Cam Payne 1

The Philadelphia 76ers are set to sign two-way forward Jabari Walker to a new two-year agreement in the upcoming days, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Monday.

Additionally, the franchise intends to bring in veteran guard Cam Payne for the remainder of the season, according to sources.

Walker secured a spot in the rotation after reaching the maximum number of games permitted under his two-way contract. He is currently averaging 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 12.1 minutes, with a shooting percentage of 40.3%.

Payne played the latter part of the 2023-24 season with the 76ers before joining the New York Knicks for the 2024-25 season. He subsequently signed with the Indiana Pacers in October but was released after participating in their preseason.

Throughout his career, Payne has recorded averages of 7.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
