Novak Djokovic withdraws from the Monte Carlo Masters.

MONACO — Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Monte Carlo Masters after missing the Miami Open due to a right shoulder injury.
“We extend our best wishes to him and look forward to seeing him back on the court soon,” the clay-court tournament stated on Friday while announcing Djokovic’s withdrawal via an Instagram story.
The announcement did not detail the reason for the 38-year-old Djokovic’s exit, but the 24-time Grand Slam champion has not competed since his defeat in three sets to Jack Draper in the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open two weeks prior.
Last year at Monte Carlo, Djokovic was eliminated in the second round by Alejandro Tabilo.
Ranked No. 3, Djokovic has not addressed his withdrawal on his social media platforms.
