Haas announces distinctive collaboration, set to feature special livery for Japanese Grand Prix.

The Haas Formula 1 team has revealed a unique partnership with the Godzilla film franchise, which will feature a special livery during the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix.
This season-long agreement with TOHO CO. Ltd, the Japanese entertainment company that owns the Godzilla franchise, will also involve significant activities surrounding the U.S. Grand Prix in October.
Haas is set to unveil its Godzilla-themed livery for Suzuka at an event in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya next Tuesday.
“This is an exceptional chance to present our brand to new audiences, marking a first for both TGR Haas F1 Team and TOHO,” stated Ayao Komatsu, Haas team principal.
“It is a privilege to introduce a global icon like Godzilla to this sport and engage during a pivotal year for the franchise. We aim for our fanbases to unite and celebrate with us, as there will be plenty to interact with this season.”
Since its cinematic debut in 1954, thirty-eight Godzilla films have been released, and the U.S. Grand Prix is timed to coincide with the premiere of the latest movie, Godzilla Minus One, in American theaters.
In most versions of the narrative, Godzilla is depicted as a massive amphibious reptile awakened from the depths of Tokyo Bay due to nuclear radiation.
While the creature is typically seen as a harbinger of destruction, it has also been characterized as an antihero who protects humanity.

More than 75 years after its film debut, Godzilla continues to enjoy popularity in Japan and boasts a wide array of merchandise.
A large, roaring model of Godzilla, constructed on the side of a hotel in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo, is one of the city’s most recognizable tourist attractions.
F1 teams have previously partnered with franchises to promote new film releases, including Red Bull with Star Wars in 2005 and Alpine with Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.
