Chinese Grand Prix: McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri unable to participate

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri both did not start the Chinese Grand Prix after the team identified problems with both vehicles.
Norris’ car did not even reach the grid, as the team found an issue related to the electronics of his vehicle, while Piastri did manage to arrive at his grid position.
Nevertheless, just prior to the formation lap, Piastri’s car was also taken back to the garage, marking the second occasion the Australian was unable to be on the grid for the start following his earlier dramatic exit before last weekend’s home event.
The duo had qualified in fifth and sixth positions, resulting in the third row of the grid being entirely vacant at the race’s commencement.
