DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Former Masters champion and current LIV Golf participant Patrick Reed secured a four-stroke victory at the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday.

Reed, who led by four strokes following the third round, finished ahead of England’s Andy Sullivan.

Julien Guerrier from France and Spain’s David Puig tied for third place, one stroke behind Sullivan.

Rory McIlroy’s pursuit of a record-extending fifth title fell significantly short, as he finished in a tie for 33rd place.

Reed, who claimed the 2018 Masters as his sole major victory, achieved his fifth win on the European tour. He has also secured one LIV event victory, in Dallas last year, since joining the Saudi-backed league in 2022.
