Vitinha: ‘Unwise’ to depart PSG amid Real Madrid speculation

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha stated that it would be “foolish” for him to contemplate leaving the Ligue 1 club amidst reported interest from Real Madrid.
The highly regarded midfielder is thought to be one of Madrid’s primary targets for the upcoming summer transfer window and is under contract with PSG until June 2029.
When questioned about a possible move to Real Madrid, Vitinha, 26, remarked to Canal 11: “It would be foolish to leave! I don’t believe it would be the best choice for me at this time. I feel very comfortable here at PSG. I enjoy being here at PSG, and my family does as well.”
“We have an amazing group and an outstanding coach. I sense that people value me greatly, and I believe I have earned that regard.”
Since joining the French capital in 2022 from FC Porto, Vitinha has secured 11 trophies, including a Ligue 1 title, the Champions League, and the Coupe de France last season.
The Portugal international concluded a remarkable 2025 by placing third in the Ballon d’Or voting, trailing only Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and his PSG teammate Ousmane Dembélé.
Even a lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia would not persuade Vitinha to depart from Les Parisiens.

“Let’s not be naive,” he stated when discussing a potential future in the Saudi Pro League.
“I am more focused on maintaining a stable career. I already earn a substantial amount here in Europe, at a prominent club. Doubling or tripling that salary wouldn’t bring me any additional happiness.”
Vitinha has recorded six goals and eight assists in 34 appearances for PSG. Under the management of Luis Enrique, PSG currently leads Ligue 1 and will face Chelsea in the Champions League last 16 opener on March 11.
