Tottenham optimistic about naming interim head coach by Monday – sources

Tottenham is optimistic about appointing an interim head coach by Monday as they intensify their search for a successor to Thomas Frank, sources have informed ESPN.
According to sources, the club has started interviewing potential candidates and has made it clear that they are seeking a temporary manager until the summer before determining their future direction.
Former Spurs manager and current USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino is a significant consideration for a permanent role and would be a favored option among fans; however, the Argentine is dedicated to guiding the United States during this summer’s World Cup.
Sources indicate that the club intends to secure an interim manager and subsequently evaluate a broader range of candidates in the summer.
The interim manager will be considered for the position if their tenure proves successful. Sources also mentioned that the club is aiming to appoint an experienced head coach capable of making an immediate impact, reflecting the urgency of Tottenham’s current circumstances.
Frank was dismissed on Wednesday following Tottenham’s 11th Premier League defeat of the season, which left them in 16th place in the standings.
They are only five points above the relegation zone.
