Tottenham Hotspur have announced the appointment of Igor Tudor as their new head coach, as confirmed by the club.

The former Juventus manager will lead Spurs until the conclusion of the season following the dismissal of Thomas Frank, with the team currently positioned just five points above the relegation zone after achieving only two victories in their last 17 Premier League matches.

Tudor’s inaugural match in charge will be the north London derby against rivals and league leaders Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on February 22.

According to Tottenham’s official website, “his mandate is clear — to instill organization, intensity, and a competitive spirit within the squad at a critical juncture of the season.”

Tudor remarked: “It is a privilege to join this club at such a significant time.

“I recognize the responsibility entrusted to me, and my focus is unwavering. My aim is to enhance the consistency of our performances and to compete with determination in every match.

“There is considerable talent within this squad, and my role is to organize, energize, and swiftly improve our results.”

Regarding the appointment, sporting director Johan Lange stated: “Igor brings clarity, intensity, and the experience of navigating challenging situations to create an impact.

“Our goal is straightforward — to stabilize performances, maximize the quality within the squad, and compete vigorously in both the Premier League and Champions League.”

Tudor, 47, has previously managed Lazio, Marseille, and Galatasaray but has not remained at any club for more than two years.

His focus now turns to revitalizing Spurs’ fortunes and ensuring the club avoids a relegation struggle in the Premier League.
