Midtjylland athlete recuperating following stabbing incident in Denmark

The Danish club Midtjylland announced on Tuesday that their 19-year-old player Alamara Djabi was stabbed and underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries.
Djabi has had two surgical procedures and is currently in stable condition after being roused from an induced coma, as reported by the club regarding the stabbing incident that occurred in their hometown of Herning over the weekend.
Midtjylland stated that they will refrain from making additional comments while the police conduct their investigation and speak with witnesses.
Djabi, originally from Guinea-Bissau, participated in one match this season for the Danish league title contender, during the Europa League qualifying playoffs in August.
