Michael Carrick: ‘No worries’ regarding uncertainty impacting conclusion of Manchester United’s season

Michael Carrick has stated he has “no worries” that the ambiguity surrounding the managerial position at Old Trafford could hinder Manchester United’s conclusion to the season.
United have positioned themselves as contenders for Champions League qualification after securing victories in each of Carrick’s initial three matches in charge.
Demands for the former England midfielder to be appointed permanently have grown following wins against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham.
However, Carrick asserts that uncertainties regarding who will lead the team next season will not overshadow the remainder of the campaign.
“The players have been exceptional and completely focused,” Carrick mentioned during a news conference on Thursday.
“We’re all conscious of the larger situation and what may transpire.
“As a player, you concentrate on what lies ahead, striving to accomplish what you can.

“I have no worries. The lads have performed beyond expectations.
“We’re dedicated to improving and reaching our goals. Small steps, but it’s a significant conclusion to the season.”
United will take on Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday before heading to West Ham on Tuesday.
Already eliminated from the FA Cup, the team has a 12-day break after the match at London Stadium before facing Everton on February 23.
The club has opted not to utilize the break for a lucrative friendly abroad.
Nonetheless, Carrick has indicated that it could still occur when there are additional gaps in the schedule in March and April.
“At this point, there is nothing finalized,” Carrick stated. “We’re mindful of the schedule and there are some openings we can explore in various ways. It’s all under consideration at this time.”
