Marc Guéhi at ‘final stages’ of Crystal Palace exit amid Man City interest

Marc Guéhi is at the “final stage” of his departure from Crystal Palace this month amid Manchester City’s interest, Oliver Glasner said.

ESPN have reported that City view Guéhi as a long-term target who could be brought in earlier.

Guéhi’s contract with Palace is due to conclude at the end of this season but he is now set to move in January.

He won’t play for Palace this weekend, Glasner confirmed in a news conference on Friday, because he is due to complete a permanent transfer away.

Glasner did not name his star defender’s destination.

Glasner said: “My latest understanding is that a deal with Marc is in the final stages.

“I can’t confirm a club, because it’s still not done but it’s in the final stages.

“The result is that Marc doesn’t play tomorrow for us.”
