Lisandro Martínez and Patrick Dorgu of Manchester United poised to return from injuries 1

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has received a positive update with Lisandro Martínez and Patrick Dorgu both included in the squad for a training camp in Ireland this week.

The return of Martínez is encouraging for Carrick following a five-match absence due to a calf injury.

United will be optimistic that the Argentinian can demonstrate his fitness ahead of Leeds United’s visit to Old Trafford on April 13.

Carrick will be without Harry Maguire for the upcoming match, as the England defender is set to serve a suspension following his red card in the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.

Dorgu has been sidelined for eight matches due to a hamstring injury.

The Denmark international is back on the training pitch and will head to Dublin to further his recovery.

Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo are also part of the 25-man squad after missing international duty with Slovenia and Cameroon, respectively.

Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton are both recovering from illness and will not make the trip.

Matthijs de Ligt, who has not played since November due to a back injury, is also absent.

United have not played since the draw at the Vitality Stadium on March 20.

Currently sitting third in the Premier League standings, Carrick’s team has seven matches left to secure their return to the Champions League.
