Jamie Carragher has suggested that Tottenham’s decline towards the Championship may worsen during their match against Wolves on Saturday.

Spurs have not secured a Premier League victory in 15 games and allowed a goal in stoppage time last weekend, resulting in a potentially detrimental 2-2 draw at home against Brighton, which keeps them in 18th place.

This situation means Tottenham will remain in the relegation zone this week, and while new manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance on Saturday, Sky Sports analyst Carragher noted on Monday Night Football that facing the already-relegated Wolves will not be an easy task.

Carragher inquired: “When was the last time they won? What month was that? December?

“They haven’t achieved a Premier League win since December. It’s astonishing.

“So, to assume they can go to an away match and simply win … I find it hard to believe they will lose the [Wolves] game, and they might manage to win, certainly, but I have seen other teams struggle there against Wolves due to their setup.”

Tottenham’s most recent Premier League win took place on December 28 at Crystal Palace.

They have suffered nine defeats in their last 15 league encounters, with De Zerbi brought in to avert a first relegation in 49 years.
