Ivan Toney addresses unusual incident in Saudi Pro League: 'Never encountered such bad breath' 1

Ivan Toney was part of an unusual incident during Al Ahli’s Saudi Pro League match against Damac on Monday, where an opposing player nearly kissed Toney, prompting the former Brentford player to later comment on social media that he has “never smelt breath so bad.”

Toney completed the entire match as Al Ahli secured a 1-0 victory, thanks to a goal from Franck Kessié.

The occurrence took place after Damac believed they had netted a late equalizer, only for it to be ruled out by the video assistant referee.

Toney then celebrated in front of Jamal Harkass, as the Damac defender made repeated gestures to kiss the England striker. He also briefly pressed his forehead against Toney’s.

The 29-year-old later reacted to a clip of the incident on X, posting alongside a vomiting emoji: “I’ve never smelt a breath so bad.”
