Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin is set to resume his duties at Tannadice after an enforced three-week medical absence.

Goodwin, 44, was admitted to hospital at the end of August with an unknown condition, before returning home on 1 September.

United take on St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday and Goodwin will take pre-match media duties on Friday.

The Irishman watched their draw with Falkirk earlier this month from the stands, but assistant Lee Sharp was in charge.

Sharp has won one, lost one and drawn one in the three Scottish Premiership matches since Goodwin took ill.
