Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has been discharged from hospital following a health scare, but it remains unclear when he will resume his duties.
Goodwin, 44, missed United’s 4-0 Scottish Premiership victory at Kilmarnock on Saturday after falling ill and being admitted to hospital last Thursday.
Assistant manager Lee Sharp took charge of the team at Rugby Park and will continue in that role for United’s midweek trip to face Motherwell while the Irishman remains absent.
“He is out of hospital, he is back home recovering,” Sharp said of Goodwin. “He is waiting on direction from the doctors etc to where he goes from there.”
When asked if there was any indication of when Goodwin would return, Sharp replied: “No. He would be back just now if he was allowed. We are in constant dialogue so he will let me know as soon as.”
In Goodwin’s absence, operations at United have continued as usual, with the club securing former Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron on a season-long loan from Rangers.
