Enzo Fernández ‘fully dedicated’ to Chelsea, according to Liam Rosenior.

Liam Rosenior stated that Enzo Fernández has informed the Chelsea head coach that he is content at the club after expressing uncertainty about his future earlier this week.
The Argentina international mentioned he was unsure if he would remain at Stamford Bridge next season following Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.
“I don’t know. My focus is here for now. We have eight Premier League matches to play and the FA Cup. Then, the World Cup coming up so we’ll see after that,” he told ESPN Argentina.
He has five years remaining on the contract he signed upon joining for a then-British record fee of £107 million ($143 million) in 2023, but suggested to ESPN that the final eight Premier League matches of the season, along with the rest of Chelsea’s FA Cup campaign, could be his last.
Rosenior mentioned that he spoke with Fernández on Thursday and has no worries regarding the 25-year-old’s dedication.
“I had a great conversation with Enzo at length this morning at the training ground,” Rosenior said. “Not just about the comments, but the future and how much we want to win the upcoming games.
“I would say he made it very clear to me how happy he is here, how much he wants to win for the team, and how passionate he is about this football club.
“He also mentioned that the translation and emotion were misinterpreted. He is fully committed to this football club.”
In addition, the club has identified the individual responsible for leaking Rosenior’s team selections prior to both Champions League matches against PSG.
The Press Association reported that it was not a member of the playing squad and that the leak is deemed to be external to the club.
“We know [who it was],” said Rosenior. “It hasn’t come from any place of malicious intent, towards me or the team. We have addressed the situation.”
Head coach Rosenior confirmed that Trevoh Chalobah’s ankle injury sustained against PSG is not as severe as initially feared but is expected to sideline the defender for six weeks.
The 26-year-old was stretchered off late in the match following a tackle from Achraf Hakimi, and images appeared to show the joint severely twisted.

The hamstring injury sustained by Reece James prior to Tuesday’s match is “not serious,” according to Rosenior, but the captain will be unavailable for Saturday’s trip to Everton.
“Reece we will assess more after the international break,” Rosenior said. “It’s not serious but something in his hamstring we will monitor after the international break.”
Filip Jorgensen’s groin injury, however, will necessitate surgery.
Rosenior indicated that defender Mamadou Sarr, whose mistake led to a goal in the sixth minute on Tuesday that effectively ended the round of 16 tie against the European champions, remains in his considerations after a challenging night.
“It’s a lot for all of us,” he said. “We are expected to perform in the present. I am very optimistic about his career, which is why he is here.
“You have to experience negative situations sometimes to grow. He is a significant part of our plans.”
