Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have been summoned back to the England squad for the upcoming friendlies this month in preparation for the World Cup.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lewis Hall are also among the prominent selections in Thomas Tuchel’s latest 35-player roster.

England is set to compete in two friendlies at Wembley Stadium this month — facing Uruguay on March 27, and Japan on March 31. These matches will be the last international fixtures before Tuchel is required to finalize his World Cup squad.

There are fewer than 100 days remaining until this summer’s World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Tuchel stated: “We opted to essentially split it into two camps, allowing us to bring in players we haven’t observed who haven’t had much playing time to broaden our perspective, and the competition for travel spots to the U.S.

“Then from Friday and Saturday, a selection of players will join the camp — 10 or 11 players who will have a break beforehand, and we will then proceed with a new group and a mix of players into the match against Japan.”
