Declan Rice has provided Arsenal with a notable injury advantage ahead of the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Sporting Lisbon.

The England international, who missed his team’s unexpected FA Cup exit at Southampton, rejoined his teammates for training at the club’s London Colney facility on Monday.

Defender Gabriel, who was unable to continue at St Mary’s due to a knee injury on Saturday night, also took part in training, marking another positive sign for Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Leandro Trossard, who did not travel to the south coast, appears ready to head to Portugal after undergoing training at London Colney. However, Bukayo Saka, who, along with Rice, withdrew from England’s friendly against Japan last week, was not present.

Arsenal will travel to Portugal later on Easter Monday, aiming to prevent a third consecutive defeat following their Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City and their quarterfinal exit to Sky Bet Championship team Southampton.
