Cristiano Ronaldo nets goal as Al Nassr establishes new winning streak record
Cristiano Ronaldo scored as Al Nassr secured a 2-0 win over Al Okhdood on Saturday, enhancing their position at the summit of the Saudi Pro League standings.
This victory marked Al Nassr’s league winning streak at a club-record 14 matches, providing them with a five-point lead over second-placed Al Hilal with six matches left to play.
Al Nassr has not clinched the league title since 2019 and has not secured a significant trophy since Ronaldo’s arrival at the club in December 2022.
The 41-year-old forward from Portugal opened the scoring on Saturday with a low shot in the 15th minute, putting Al Nassr in front. This goal marked Ronaldo’s 24th in as many league appearances this season.
His compatriot JoΓ£o FΓ©lix increased their advantage just two minutes into the second half, scoring from a rebound off the post.
Al Nassr will next face Al Ettifaq on Wednesday.
