Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return for Al Nassr on Friday after being sidelined for over a month due to a hamstring injury.

The forward from Portugal has been included in Al Nassr’s starting lineup for their Saudi Pro League match against Al Najma.

– Martinez: Ronaldo remains vital for Portugal despite injury layoff

Ronaldo, 41, exited the field during Al Nassr’s 3-1 league victory over Al Fayha on February 28, with coach Jorge Jesus later indicating that it was a “more serious injury” than initially anticipated.

In addition to missing three league matches for his team, Ronaldo, who received treatment in Spain, was also unable to participate with Portugal for pre-World Cup friendly matches against Mexico and the United States.

Al Nassr enters Friday’s match three points ahead of Al Hilal at the top of the Saudi Pro League table, with Ronaldo aiming for his first significant title since joining Saudi Arabia in December 2022.

He currently ranks third in the competition for the league’s golden boot, trailing Al Ahli’s Ivan Toney by four goals.
