The lineup for the 2026 World Cup is finalized, and several familiar teams are in the discussion as favorites to claim the title. Spain leads the odds at +450, followed closely by France and England at +600. Brazil and the defending champions, Argentina, complete the top five with odds of +850.
Portugal (11-1), Germany (14-1), and the Netherlands (20-1) represent the next group, while traditional contenders like Belgium (35-1) and Colombia (40-1) are not far behind. Newer entrants to the conversation include Norway (28-1) and Japan (50-1), which began at 50-1 and 100-1, respectively, at various sportsbooks.
In contrast, the host nations have longer odds, with the USA at 65-1, Mexico at 70-1, and Canada at 200-1. The U.S. is generating significant interest among sportsbooks, capturing 6.7% of the tickets and 4.9% of the handle at BetMGM, making them one of the sportsbook’s largest liabilities, alongside France (17.7% of handle) and England (14.3%).
A significant absence from the odds is Italy, which did not qualify for the World Cup for the third consecutive time after losing to Bosnia and Herzegovina (250-1) in the UEFA playoff. Italy had been listed at 30-1 odds before their elimination.
Below are the odds for all 48 teams to win their group, progress from the group stage, and advance through the knockout rounds to win the 2026 World Cup.
