Arsenal striker Kai Havertz has encountered another injury setback and is expected to be unavailable for the north London derby against Tottenham, according to sources cited by ESPN.

The 26-year-old has participated in only seven matches this season and made his return to play last month after dealing with a knee issue sustained during the opening weekend of the season.

The specific details of the injury remain uncertain, but sources indicate it may be a muscular concern, with Havertz ruled out for Thursday’s Premier League match against Brentford.

Following this, Arsenal will face three matches within a week, including an FA Cup fourth-round clash against Wigan, followed by away games at Wolves and Spurs on February 22.

Havertz is regarded as a significant doubt for the match against Tottenham.

This marks another setback for the Germany international, who suffered a torn right hamstring in February of the previous year, causing him to miss the remainder of that season.

Arsenal is already missing Mikel Merino, Martin Ødegaard, and Bukayo Saka as they aim to restore a six-point advantage at the top of the league standings.
