Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal role in Al Nassr’s dominant 5-1 victory over Qatar’s Al Ahli SC on Wednesday, propelling the team into the Asian Champions League Two final and bringing them closer to securing their first significant trophy since his arrival at the Saudi club in December 2022.

The 41-year-old Portuguese star participated for 78 minutes and, although he did not find the net, French international Kingsley Coman’s hat trick was key to the comeback win in Asia’s secondary club competition.

Al Ahli had an opportunity to take an early lead after seven minutes, but a penalty taken by former Germany international Julian Draxler was thwarted by Brazilian goalkeeper Bento.

Just four minutes later, the Qatari team took the lead. Sekou Yansane maneuvered inside from the right and sent a low shot into the far corner.

Al Nassr quickly responded, with Coman leveling the score from close range after Angelo broke free down the left flank.

Angelo then put the home side ahead midway through the first half, receiving a pass from Sadio ManΓ© before skillfully guiding the ball past the goalkeeper.

Just before halftime, Al Nassr increased its advantage as Coman capitalized on a loose ball to score from close range.

Coman, who transferred from Bayern Munich in 2025, completed his hat trick in the 64th minute, running onto a pass from Angelo and finishing with composure.

Abdullah Al-Hamdan added a late goal to finalize the victory.

Al Nassr, currently leading the Saudi Pro League with five matches left, will face Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the Champions League Two final in Riyadh on May 17.
