Women’s boxing pound-for-pound standings: Gabriela Fundora’s supremacy drives her ascent

Another bout, another knockout triumph for Gabriela Fundora, who successfully defended her undisputed flyweight title for the third time on Saturday.
Fundora (18-0, 10 KOs) showcased a commanding performance against Viviana Ruiz Corredor (10-3, 5 KOs), the WBA mandatory challenger, achieving a sixth-round knockout in her first fight of 2026. After dominating the fight from the start, Fundora knocked down Ruiz Corredor in the fifth round with a strong left hand. A round later, with Ruiz Corredor cornered against the ropes and taking unreturned blows, referee Ray Corona intervened to halt the contest.
This victory marked Fundora’s fourth consecutive stoppage and her sixth in the last seven bouts, further solidifying her reputation as one of the sport’s most formidable emerging champions. With this win, she ascends one position to No. 3 in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings, surpassing Amanda Serrano.
