Women’s boxing pound-for-pound standings: A consensus selection for the top position

Claressa Shields reinforced her status at the top of the ESPN women’s pound-for-pound rankings with a commanding unanimous decision win over Franchon Crews-Dezurn on February 22 in Detroit. She was equally clear in the voting, receiving all first-place votes from the ESPN panel.
Shields is among only two boxers in the four-belt era to achieve undisputed status in three weight classes, with Terence Crawford being the other. She unified all four major women’s heavyweight titles on February 2, 2025, by defeating Danielle Perkins and has since successfully defended her titles twice.
Shields (15-0, 3 KOs) has claimed championships in five divisions, in addition to winning Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016 while representing the United States.
Katie Taylor announced on Wednesday her desire for one final fight, preferably in Dublin, before her retirement. Currently, she holds the No. 2 position in the rankings.
While the top 10 remains unchanged, several skilled fighters are gaining attention and receiving votes, including unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney, unified super middleweight champion Shadasia Green, and undisputed bantamweight champion Cherneka Johnson.
Here is the current top 10.
