WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez Jr. will defend his title on Saturday against Shakur Stevenson at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) has achieved six consecutive victories since his surprising defeat to George Kambosos Jr. in 2021. A former unified lightweight champion, he is set to make his fourth defense of the 140-pound title he secured with a unanimous decision against Josh Taylor in June 2023. Lopez also has significant wins over Vasiliy Lomachenko in 2020 and Arnold Barboza Jr. last May.

Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) is stepping up in weight to face Lopez, marking his first appearance at junior welterweight. Already a champion at featherweight, junior lightweight, and lightweight, Stevenson aims to become a four-division titleholder. He is coming off a commanding win against William Zepeda in July.
