O’Shaquie Foster set to defend WBC championship against Raymond Ford on May 30.

WBC junior lightweight titleholder O’Shaquie Foster is set to defend his championship against Raymond Ford in his hometown of Houston on May 30.
The bout will occur at the Fertitta Center and will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.
Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) is coming off a dominant victory over former two-division champion Stephen Fulton in December. He has secured 14 wins in his last 15 bouts and is ranked No. 2 in the junior lightweight category by ESPN.
“I’m thrilled and eager to compete at home for the first time as a world champion – it’s a dream realized,” Foster stated. “We will be 1,000-percent ready, and we will take control from the very first round.”
Hailing from Camden, New Jersey, Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs) has achieved three consecutive victories since his loss to Nick Ball for the WBA featherweight title in 2024. He is currently positioned at No. 4 in the 130-pound division.
“I’m just pleased he finally signed the contract,” Ford remarked. “When it came down to it, I was the most significant fight available for him, and now it’s time to compete, and I am eagerly anticipating it. He’s a notable name for my record, and I plan to take that belt on May 30 and become a two-weight world champion.”
