Keyshawn Davis schedules rematch with Nahir Albright for May 16. 1

Former lightweight titleholder Keyshawn Davis is set to take on Nahir Albright in a rematch on May 16 in Norfolk, Virginia, as confirmed by sources to ESPN. The bout will be streamed live and exclusively on DAZN.

Boxing Scene was the first outlet to report on the matchup.

Davis (14-0, 10 KOs) previously defeated Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) by majority decision in 2023. However, the outcome was later changed to a No Contest after Davis tested positive for marijuana. The tension between the two fighters escalated when they were involved in a physical confrontation in Norfolk last June, following Albright’s decision victory over Davis’ brother, Kelvin.

A visibly marked Albright stated in an interview with ESPN’s Mark Kriegel after the incident that he was attacked by brothers Keyshawn and Keon Davis after his win against Kelvin.

Davis was scheduled to headline the same event but had his fight with Edwin De Los Santos canceled and was stripped of his WBO lightweight title after weighing in 4.3 pounds over the limit.

Following this incident, Davis returned to the ring in January at junior welterweight, where he stopped Jamaine Ortiz. Albright recently fought Frank Martin to a draw on the undercard of Ryan Garcia’s win over Mario Barrios in February.
