Baltimore judge rules Gervonta Davis breached probation; warrant granted 1

A judge in Baltimore has issued an arrest warrant for Gervonta Davis on the basis of a probation violation, occurring one week after his arrest in Miami on charges of domestic violence.

Circuit Judge Althea M. Handy authorized the warrant on Monday, as indicated by the Baltimore County court records.

Davis, 31, was serving probation for a hit-and-run incident in Baltimore from November 2020 that resulted in injuries to four individuals. His sentence included 90 days of house arrest, three years of probation, and 200 hours of community service. He subsequently spent 44 days in jail for breaching the conditions of his home detention.

The recent legal troubles for Davis arise from allegations of assaulting his former girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, on October 27, 2025, at a gentlemen’s club in Miami, where she was employed as a VIP cocktail waitress. Rossel initiated a civil lawsuit shortly after the event, which led to Davis withdrawing from his scheduled fight with Jake Paul in November.

An arrest warrant was issued on January 14 for charges including battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping, but it took two weeks to locate the boxer. The Miami Gardens Police Department, along with the United States Marshals fugitive task force, carried out a surveillance operation across three counties to apprehend Davis, successfully taking him into custody last Wednesday night without incident in the Miami Design District.

Davis was released the same day after posting an $8,500 bond and was instructed to refrain from any contact with his accuser.
