TODAY'S MATCH UP
Today's game marks the second preliminary round game of the 2025 IIHF Women's World Championship for Team USA. The U.S. sits at 1-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) after defeating Finland in the opening game of the tournament.

Today's game is just the fifth all-time Women's Worlds meeting between the U.S. and Czechia. Team USA holds a perfect 4-0-0-0 record against the Czechs, having outscored them, 31-4, in the previous four games.

Against Finland, the U.S. scored in the first three minutes of each period en route to a 7-1 victory. Hayley Scamurra tallied the opening goal of the game just 2:55 into the first, Lee Stecklein scored 55 seconds into the second and Taylor Heise scored 1:45 into the third.
800TH ALL TIME WOMEN'S WORLDS GOAL
Taylor Heise's third period goal, Team USA's sixth of the game, marked the U.S.' 800th all-time goal in Women's World Championship play. Through 126 games, the U.S. scored an average of 6.4 goals per game.
